THE POSITION Align with Continental's Quality Strategy of Guidance, Transparency and Prevention. Supervise and coordinate activities to ensure that products, information, systems, services, and programs meet organizational standards. Responsible for leading the activities related to maintaining the ISO Certification for the Allentown facility, third party and customer Quality System certifications. Coordinate activities related to Quality responsibilities for Allentown facility. Core
Responsibilities:
o Manage the ISO quality management system for both Allentown locations. o Align the Allentown location with appropriate Corporate and Business Area and Segment QMSs' o Define and specify the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. o Develop, implement and maintain technical quality management and control systems and activities. o Participate in the reviewing of engineering designs to contribute quality requirements and considerations. o Ensure that the necessary quality and safety measures for development series redesign projects are identified and noted with respect to all requirements. o Facilitate third party and customer audits. o Lead internal quality system audits and lead activities that help bring corrective actions to closure. o Responsible for change management system and procedures. o Responsible for driving overall Quality in product development. o This position includes emphasis on both pre-launch activities supporting product design and manufacturing teams, and supporting customer 0km and field issues after launch. o Ensures the necessary quality and safety measures for the projects are identified, noted and completed with respect to all requirements. o Develop current and new auditors in relationship to auditing skills and system requirements. o Provide support to Business Area and Segments with internal & external audits related to systems, tools, or process. o Support Business Area and Segments with high profile customer issues associated with dissatisfaction from product/system non-conformances. o Drive, facilitate, track and support improvement activities utilizing continuous improvement methods (Structured Problem Solving, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, etc.). o Coordinate and structure monthly progress reports of Quality KPIs / key indicators / continuous improvement activities for Business Area and Segments worldwide and drive follow-up of continuous improvement activities. o Responsible for leading a team of direct reports Additional

o Assist product support areas in gathering and analyzing data. o Coordinate quality training for all employees. o Coordinate monthly management review meetings. o Responsible for quality in development and quality aspects to redesign activities in series production phases. o Act as the voice to management and customer on warranty issues. o Identify, investigate, and integrate Best Practices into Business Area and Segments from other Continental divisions or external sources. o Support supplier development activities. o Support Central Quality and Segment Quality activities or lead special projects within the Central Quality and Segment Quality organizations. o Keep abreast of new developments and processes for use in adaptations to organizational methods. Qualifications Basic
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Technical field or related degree plus 7 years experience in Quality o Knowledge of ISO Quality Management System o Ability to travel 25% domestically and internationally Preferred
Qualifications:
o Knowledge of Automotive Quality Systems, TS 16949 o Quality Systems lead auditor certification o Knowledge of quality systems tools such as FMEAs, Control Plans, APQP o Leadership experience
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Quality ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
