Summary:
Responsible for the administration and support of automated systems including construction and testing of applications within designated departments/divisions.
Assumes responsibility for small or medium-sized projects and tasks as assigned by Information Services Management.
Works with designated hospital department/division personnel during project implementation.
Assists in development or modification of procedures to solve problems.
Assists with project management.
Recognizes and participates in work processes improvements as appropriate.
Reports to Manager, Director or Administrator level in Information Services.
Minimum Requirements:
Work requires the level of knowledge normally attained through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Management or equivalent work experience in a related field.
2 years experience in Information Services or combination of Information Services and health care experience.
Work requires the ability to analyze and solve problems and to analyze and interpret data.
Work requires ability to work well in a team environment and to be self motivated and self disciplined.
Work requires ability to communicate clearly and accurately in both verbal and written mode, accurately and concisely describing problems, solutions, specifications, and plans.
General knowledge of Information Technology is required.
Must be able to visit multiple business and education locations.
Preferred
Qualifications:
2- 4 years progressive experience in Information Services or combination of Information Services and health care experience.
Working knowledge of application specific function and work process is desired.
