It is imperative that the actual communications are professional, sensitive, grammatically correct, and tracked to ensure closure of the interaction.
Skills and Abilities Responsible for receiving and organizing constituent inquiries about state related programs, services and legislation.
Ability to interface with state agencies to ascertain and coordinate answers to constituents' questions.
Ability to be grammatically correct in writing, editing and reviewing letters, emails, press releases and newsletters.
Ability to read and handle or direct emails (averaging 70 daily) while assuring each receives a response.
Ability to input constituent inquiries in our Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) database, coordinate constituent responses, and follow through until the constituent issue is closed.
Responsible to collect and submit expense reports.
Responsible to schedule meetings, follow procedures to schedule and load data into scheduling software.
Organize and/or participate in outreach events to help constituents communicate with the Senator, regarding legislative purposes.
Meet and Greet Constituents.
Represent the Senator at events as needed.
Recording constituent concerns at public events entering them into a database tracking system upon return to the office and following through to close the constituent inquiry.
Evening and/or weekend work, may be required.
Other duties that may be assigned, from time to time, by the District Director or Senator.
