Lehigh Valley Humane Society and Vet Clinic Lehigh Valley Humane Society and Vet Clinic Allentown, PA Allentown, PA Full-time Full-time $14 an hour $14 an hour The Customer Experience Team (CET) members are responsible for the daily functions, and providing unmatched customer service to each person who enters our facility, as well as providing basic animal care for animals in our program locations as needed.
CET members act with urgency to accomplish important tasks and play a direct role in achieving the Lehigh Valley Humane Society's (the LVHS) high lifesaving rates and organizational success.
CET members may receive intensive assignments in a particular program, based on organizational needs.
Essential Duties/
Responsibilities:

This includes listening, being present, being supportive of others, and demonstrating compassion and curiosity in conflict.
Maintain complete and accurate records of incoming and outgoing animals, daily transactions and county dog licenses.
Deliver superior customer experience; assist customers by gathering information to provide prompt and accurate answers to their questions, and direct customers to the team member that can best serve their needs.
Develop a general knowledge of the animals in the LVHS's care.
Develop a vast knowledge of LVHS's services, customers, donors, community partners, and volunteers Work collaboratively with the LVHS's team members in all areas of operations to achieve lifesaving goals; follow the LVHS's policies, procedures, including accurate and timely communications, work completion, data entry, and recordkeeping.
Perform other duties as assigned Skills and
Experience:
Customer-centric approach to engaging with adopters, partners, visitors, volunteers, and colleagues; familiarity and comfort with emotional intelligence and conflict resolution.
Previous work or volunteer experience in animal welfare/handling.
Ability to work with, leash, kennel, walk, and handle all cats and dogs, including those with health and/or behavior conditions/concerns; basic ability to identify and speak to medical and behavioral characteristics of dogs and cats.
Bilingual or multi-lingual skills preferred but not required.
Resourceful, get-it-done attitude; the initiative to assist in any area or process; problem solving, seeking answers independently and enthusiastically; the flexibility to persist until lifesaving outcome goals are achieved.
Strong interpersonal skills, a team player, personable, professional, and able to get along with people from different backgrounds, as well as the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with well-developed organization skills to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; familiarity with shelter software/animal management software, POS system or desire to learn.
Requirements:
Must be able to:
Routinely lift 40 pounds and perform daily strenuous activity including, but not limited to lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, squatting, cleaning, and bending.
Work at a computer for extended periods of time with repetitive typing, sitting, arm, and hand motion.
Exposure to dogs, cats and other animals of all sizes, temperaments, and medical status.
Daily hours and days of the week may vary according to the needs of the department schedule; position includes weekends, nights and holiday work.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
