We are looking for candidates who can join us in our mission, as visionary leaders in children's services, to promote the well-being and self-sufficiency of children and their families and strengthen our communities through prevention, intervention, and advocacy.
Family-Based Mental Health Services is an in-home family therapy program designed to keep children who are experiencing serious mental health issues in their home and with their families.
WHAT You'll Do as a Mental Health Professional:
The Family-Based Mental Health Professional works on a two-person treatment team and provides direct therapeutic interventions to a child or adolescent and family in the client's home.
Become credentialed through the Philadelphia Family and Child Therapy Training Center Inc.
as a Mental Health Professional.
Meet with assigned clients and their families to provide individual, joint, family or collateral sessions in accordance with the treatment plan, established practice standards, and the family's cultural values and expectations.
Collaborates with county mental health staff, school personnel and parents and keeps all apprised of client's/family's progress and issues of concern.
Utilize innovative computer software such as Welligent and Office 365 for efficient completion of documentation.
Utilizes basic computer programs and the EHR to complete all required paperwork within timeframes specified in Agency policies and Department of Public Welfare regulations, including submitting all service notes within 48 hours.
Maintains adherence to departmental guidelines for productivity.
Attends training activities and weekly meetings with supervisor in both group and team format, as well as individually when necessary.
Qualifications:
A Master degree in psychiatry, psychology, counseling, social work, nursing, education, rehabilitation or a closely related discipline with at least two years' experience working with children in a CASSP system; OR a nursing license (RN) with at least five years of experience, including two years of experience in a CASSP system plus certification by the Department's Office of Mental Health (OMH) as a mental health family-based worker.
OR a current Family-Based Mental Health Worker who has become credentialed through the Philadelphia Family and Child Therapy Training Center, Inc.
