The Restaurant Area offered at select Wegmans stores allows customers to experience a one-of-a-kind, dynamic eatery in a Pub environment, or enjoy delicious prepared foods from departments such as Coffee, Pizza, Subs, Sushi and other caf offerings from areas including the Wokery, Fresh Foods Bar, etc. As the Restaurant Service Team Leader you will work closely with employees and be empowered to provide incredible customer service and an engaging dining and pub experience through creating an exciting atmosphere and providing the tools, resources and support for service staff to grow their skills, passion and knowledge.

Working with team members and leading them by example to serve customers in a courteous, attentive and efficient manner; providing a positive dining and pub experience and incredible service
Acting as the face to customers; engaging them about the culinary and beverage offerings in a manner that creates interest and enthusiasm; using passion and knowledge of offerings as well as the industry to educate team members and ensure the proper training and development tools are in place for their continued success
Performing a variety of tasks as needed to support the day-to-day needs of the business while monitoring and influencing the customer experience to ensure they are provided with incredible service and a reason to return
Maintaining a strong focus on the catering area; ensuring the planning, organization and execution of events takes places efficiently and effectively
Possessing an exceptional level of detail to ensure restaurant areas are clean, organized and well-stocked with all necessary supplies
Working to ensure the most efficient and effective operations in the restaurant area by performing tasks such as efficient ordering with Simplification practices in mind, assisting with hiring & staffing, executing training & development programs, scheduling and managing payroll
Possessing a thorough understanding of the importance of food quality and food safety in departments; ensuring the food presented to customers is prepared according to Wegmans recipes and standards, and team members are following food safety and safety guidelines while performing tasks
Delegating tasks to team members and empowering them to take on new challenges; being certain to provide training, timely feedback and partner with management to give annual performance reviews that focus on their growth and professional development
Maintaining two-way communication with team members and restaurant management to ensure smooth running department operations

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
