Community Manager - Digital Editorial

The Morning Call's Community Manager-Digital Editorial is responsible for cultivating one or more dynamic communities of interest or geography on the Internet using blogs, social media, and other community tools.
Responsibilities include:
Utilizes blogs, social media, and other community tools to reach audience in assigned community.
Generates loyalty, frequency, and advocacy in the assigned community to stimulate growth.
Reaches out to and engages community groups offline.
Works with Content Editors to aggressively recruit new community participants.
Performs audience outreach to stimulate conversation online and in print.
Seeks out and manages bloggers and user-generated content.
Manages online community discussions.
Posts content to the web in support of continuous news operation.
Operates vehicle in a safe manner during the course of performing responsibilities, complying with all motor vehicle code regulations.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in Web page content production, with some working knowledge of print, broadcast or Internet journalism.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
