Kelly Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Civil Structural Designer in Allentown, PA. This is a long term opportunity working through Kelly Services for our client who is an international corporation whose principal business is selling gases and chemicals for industrial uses.
Job Description and
Responsibilities:
Assignment is in the function of Civil/Structural design for a variety of industrial and chemical process type facilities.
Individual must have current design experience in site preparation, undergrounds, grading plans, piling, foundations and structural steel to develop constructible and cost effective designs for supporting the process machinery, vessels, piping, and other equipment.
Individual will gather information from all sources required, including other disciplines, vendors, engineers, reference drawings and catalogs to produce complete functional, accurate and constructible design packages.
Individual must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Design and detail civil/structural drawings with Microstation
Create structural steel models with Frameworks
Copy and manipulate existing projects and models
Model structures and extract frozen views
Create structural members
Create and populate Microstation drawings
Populate basic Excel spreadsheets
Specific Skill Requirements:
All design work will be performed utilizing Microstation software.
Proficiency in Frameworks and Microstation is required!
Attention to detail and ability to work independently is a must.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, particularly Excel, is preferred.
Cryogenic experience a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
