POSITION SUMMARY: Build client relationship in conjunction with Client Manager and Producers by providing quality internal customer service to ensure retention of clients and solicit bids on new business.
Build, expand and solidify relationships with clients by addressing the client's needs, including the identification and resolution of underwriting or policy issues.
Build, expand and solidify relationships with carriers through regular communication and interaction on assigned accounts.
Assist in the renewal process with the Client Manager and Producer for all assigned clients including ordering claims history, providing assistance in obtaining updated information (census data, carrier invoice, etc), handling renewal applications, remarketing, account rounding, reviewing the renewal proposal and binding the proposals.
Responsible for the day-to-day account management of client accounts, including but not limited to processing policies, premium breakdowns, policy changes, providing coverage comparisons, claims runs, responding to coverage questions, claims issues, ID cards problems, etc.
Contract review as needed - for Cobra, EAP, or simply the carrier booklets.
Maintaining the agency database for assigned clients.
Documentation (saved to CBD or Applied) of conversations and information provided to and/or for clients.
Participate in client visits, if needed.
Ensures Quality Control processes are completed in accordance with Corporate guidelines.
Communicate and share information with fellow associates in regards to coverage issues, market availability and market conditions.
Promote the agency and insurance industry in the community.
Keep informed of industry developments by reading periodicals, publications and attending continuing education classes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
HIPAA compliant - census data, emails etc to be in compliance under HIPAA Hitech ESSENTIAL SKILLS,
College degree preferred or minimum of two years experience in the insurance industry.
Skilled and knowledgable of Word and Excel computer software.
Ability and willingness to learn Applied, the agency management system.
Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Self starter with organizational skills and ability to work with details.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Insurance agents license must be obtained within 3 months.
Willingness to pursue designations and or Life and Health license.
Willingness to work in a team environment and act as a back-up when needed
Professional appearance and professional manner.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
