Job Description: As directed by the Invasive Cardiologist and Invasive Cardiology Coordinator, directs and manages the care of designated patients. May provide other support services, dictated by patient needs, as a care delivery team member. Utilizes effective and appropriate communication styles. On call hours required for 24/7 after hour coverage for emergencies and urgent procedures at CC and LVHM campuses. Cross campus coverage is required after appropriate orientation and training at each site- CC, LVHM, and GVH. Cross training is required for the Cardiac Cath Lab, the Electrophysiology Lab , Peripheral Lab, and the Invasive Cardiology Staging/Recovery Area after proper orientation and training as directed by the Invasive Cardiology Coordinators and Director to meet department and patient needs.
Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience in the Invasive Cardiology Procedure Room setting. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing., RT program and/or credentials, or RCIS program and/ or credentials Successful completion of department specific orientation within allotted timeframe. Successful completion of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course or passing score on challenge exam for cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course. Passing score on basic proficiency in medication administration. A two year commitment of Employment in the dept. is required after successful completion of the dept. specific orientation and dept. specific competencies. Exceptions to this rule will be at the discretion of the dept. Director. Must have achieved competencies in diagnostic/interventional cardiac cath procedures, diagnostic/interventional peripheral procedures, and diagnostic/interventional complex EP procedures. Demonstrates effective communication skills. Demonstrates initiative and is able to function independently as well as interdependently. Demonstrates the ability to initiate, accept and adapt to change. Demonstrates time management and organizational skills. Accepts and recognizes differences among people. Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications: BSN preferred for RN candidates Professional certification in clinical practice specialty.
Licensure and Certifications: Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure, RCIS licensure, or RT licensure. Current BLS Health Care Provider. Current ACLS Health Care Provider.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
