Job Description: Responsible for turning data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions, the Associate Health Care Data Analyst will learn how to conduct analytical activities including requirements analysis and design, development of data analysis, reporting, visualization enhancement, continuous monitoring of performance and quality control plans to identify opportunities. These analytic activities will be applied to episode treatment groups, risk groups, medical and RX claims, lab data, HRA data and other health care data sources. The Associate Health Care Data Analyst is responsible for basic support of the configuration and administration of analytic tools, the development and use of databases, data marts, reports, dashboards and the interpretation of data and analysis results using statistical techniques. Also supports the filing, filtering and cleansing of data and applying quality control techniques to reports, outcomes and performance indicators to locate and correct basic coding problems. Additional responsibilities include supporting the identification, analysis and interpretation of trends and patterns in data sets to help determine clinical priorities and initiatives and to measure the effectiveness of these initiatives.
Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Computer and Information Systems, Health Care Administration or related field required. Must have the capacity to learn about data models, relational database design, data visualization tools and dashboard design. Knowledge of reporting packages and databases (SQL/TSQL and SQL Server Management Studios) as well as familiarity with basic analytic concepts is required. The ability to learn how to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy required. Must have a basic understanding of queries, report writing and presenting findings. Experience with Microsoft Office applications is required. Work requires the ability to analyze and solve basic data management problems and to analyze and interpret clinical data. Work requires the ability to work well in a team environment and to be self-motivated. Work requires the ability to communicate clearly and accurately in both verbal and written mode concisely describing problems, solutions, specifications and plans.
Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, VB, Powershell, etc) is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
