Job Description: The Director, Government Payment Regulation and Revenue Accounting is responsible for the accurate determination and reporting of net patient service revenue, accurate determination and reporting of third party receivables/payables, ensuring accurate completion of the Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, ensuring revenue and receivables reporting is in compliance with GAAP and optimization of government reimbursement. The Director will manage a Network team of Financial Analysts and Accountants dedicated to revenue and receivables accounting, cost report completion and revenue optimization. The Director will have expert level of knowledge of government payment regulation, expert knowledge of revenue and receivables accounting practices and principles and excellent communication and staff management skills.
Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience interpreting Medicare and Medicaid payment regulation, ensuring optimization of revenue and completing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. Previous responsibility as the chief revenue and receivables accounting director in a hospital or health system is required. Expert knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other government payment regulation including special state of PA payments and value based purchasing. Knowledge of commercial payer payment methodologies and accounting for commercial insurer revenue is required. Ongoing learning through self-study and attending seminars and conferences is required. Expert level of knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulation and payment rules is essential. The ability to interpret Medicare and Medicaid payment regulation and develop and implement processes ensuring LVHN hospitals are reimbursed for all programs and services is required. Excellent communication skills, team leadership skills and the ability to direct teams to achieve desired outcomes required. Desire to work independently and be accountable for Medicare and Medicare reimbursement optimization and compliance is essential.
Preferred Qualifications: A master's degree in business, finance or accounting preferred. Development of a peer network outside LVHN as a source of learning opportunities is desired. A leadership role in a professional organization would provide additional learning opportunities. Professional certification from a professional organization related to healthcare revenue management preferred (CPA/FHFMA).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
