Senior Internal Auditor / Data Analyst

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a Senior Internal Auditor / Data Analyst at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
POSITION SUMMARY
The senior internal auditor is responsible for performing individual internal audit projects, as part of the total internal audit plan. This responsibility includes developing audit scope, performing audit procedures, and preparing audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed. Work performed will include coverage of functional and operating units and focusing on compliance, financial, IT, and operational processes. Additionally, the senior internal auditor performs follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues. The senior internal auditor will also assist internal audit management with periodic reporting to the audit committee, development of the annual internal audit plan, and championing internal control and corporate governance concepts throughout the business. The senior internal auditor may also direct and review the work performed by other internal audit personnel, including resources from the co-sourcing firms. The position interacts regularly with external auditors and Air Products subsidiaries and JVs, on risk and control related issues.
This position will also work with the Senior Data Analytics Lead within the Audit team to continue to develop capabilities using "audit" software that enables continuous monitoring and transaction auditing. The position will develop and deliver training and other analytical query development support for internal auditors worldwide.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Incumbent will be expected to follow the standards of conduct defined for the profession and as defined by the department.
Participate in and eventually lead small to complex and large and/or sensitive audits with limited management supervision in addition to actively participating in the audit and performing audit work.
Prepare all workpapers necessary to document and explain reportable audit issues. All workpapers are required to be prepared and retained in AutoAudit in accordance with the Global Audit Process.
Follow the standards of conduct defined for the profession and as defined by the department.
The incumbent is expected to meet deadlines set by department's management team and comply with established internal workpaper standards.
Serve as a key resource for ACL script writing and related ACL training to the entire global audit staff.
Lead continuous auditing efforts utilizing audit software tools and provide related training and maintenance.
The incumbent should have strong business acumen and broad international business exposure. Proficiency in written and oral communication skills and the capability to communicate effectively and comfortably at all levels.
Requires the skill to influence others to ensure full commitment to agreed audit action items, and having good appreciation of cultural differences in work environment and respect for diversity.
Able to work productively under pressure while accepting personal accountability. Prepared to work independently and to travel to remote locations to conduct field audits.
Interact effectively and efficiently with management and employees within Air Products global organization.
This position is a ladder role and the grade of the individual is based on the skill competencies demonstrated in the annual competency assessment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding of internal control concepts and experience in applying them to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various business processes/areas/functions
Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance, and provide appropriate direction to other internal audit project team members
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exhibit the leadership skills needed to sell ideas and obtain management buy-in for constructive change
Understanding of internal auditing standards, COSO and risk assessment practices
Understanding of the technical aspects of accounting and financial reporting
Understanding of data analytics techniques and continuous monitoring methodologies
Experience in performing multiple projects and working with varying team members
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree in accounting/finance
CPA/CIA designation
5+ years of public accounting and/or private industry experience with knowledge of accounting, finance, compliance risks and internal controls.
Experience with ACL and/or other audit software used for data analytics and/or continuous monitoring.
Prior industry experience is a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
