ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Evaluates and implements patient health care needs. Performs routine exams
and obtains patient histories. Manages patient treatment program based on
assessment of needs. Initiates treatment via prescriptions, diagnostic tests,
exams and procedures. Reviews lab results and plans actions according to
results. Performs routine health maintenance activities for new and established
patients.
2. Coordinates patient care and makes referrals to physicians, nurses,
psychologists, nutritionists, et cetera, as needed. Collaborates and
communicates with other professionals, nurses, physicians, and outside
agencies regarding patient care. Coordinates patient care and family counseling
with public and mental health agencies as appropriate.
3. Teaches wellness habits and educates patients on prevention of potential health
problems or method of dealing with present problems. Provides information and
materials relating to patient health care needs.
4. Develops educational programs for medical and/or nursing students and the
general public, upon request.
5. Performs administrative duties such as writing admission and discharge orders,
working with office staff regarding patient problems, scheduling, records, etc.
6. Maintains knowledge of current medical practices and skills.
7. Develops, writes and/or updates Nurse Practitioner practice protocols as directed
by physician.
8. Acts as lead care provider amongst other support staff, such as nurses and
medical assistants.
9. Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as
well as the proper release of information.
10. Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee,
patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.
11. Demonstrates/models the Network's Service Excellence Standards of
Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).
12. Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate:
Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational
System/Process, and Safety.
13. Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and
efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices.
14. Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and
dress code.
15. Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of
growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the
patient treated.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICIAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Requires sitting, standing and walking
for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time). Continually uses fingers for
patient care, writing, and handling patient charts. Routinely use upper extremities;
occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds. Occasionally push cart with supplies up to 50
pounds. Occasionally push wheelchair with a patient weighing up to 325 pounds.
Stoop, been, and reach above shoulder level regularly. Hearing as it relates to normal
conversation and taking blood preassure readings. General visions, near vision,
peripheral are all required.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Pennsylvania
nursing license. Certified at national level as a Nurse Practitioner.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: One year practice experience in a similar setting.
WORK SCHEDULE: Generally days, with potential for one or two evenings per week, and weekends as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
