Job Description Job Title: Senior Laboratory Technician, Inorganic Analysis Job Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania Intertek Allentown scientists provide advanced analytical tools and expertise for materials analysis and R&D. The laboratory supports a wide range of industries and markets including electronics, construction materials, industrial gases and more. Our scientists have years of industry experience supporting client research, development and production projects. Our capabilities help customers improve and enhance discovery, prototype, scale-up, trouble-shooting and process monitoring activities. Integrated problem-solving is an important client benefit due to the breadth of tools and experience the laboratory has available. An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Laboratory Technician to join this global organization within the Inorganic Analysis workteam of Intertek Allentown located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Inorganic Analysis plays a key role in characterizing what elements and functional groups are present in a wide range of materials. We are seeking a detail oriented scientist who takes pride in helping others, wants to improve the effectiveness of our offerings, and is willing to learn. Responsibilities: ? Perform tasks essential for laboratory maintenance, operation, and quality assurance. ? Set up analyses and operate various pieces of equipment.? Measure, collect, and record test data in accordance with written procedures.? Perform basic calculations.? Distinguish good measurements from poor ones and identify appropriate next steps. ? Write procedures, observations, and results in notebooks. ? Assure projects are in compliance with current procedures and regulations.? Provide technical training to staff members.? Perform accurate sample preparation for metals analysis using acid digestion an microwave-assisted digestion.? Prepare samples, standards, and solutions.? Use computer systems and software programs - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and data acquisition programs to acquire and document results.? Effectively collaborate with colleagues on laboratory techniques, sample preparation, instrumentation, data analysis, documentation, and safety.? Ensure compliance of company/client SOP, protocols, safety policies, methods, or other procedures with government rules and regulations. Required Qualifications: ? Minimum of a 2 year technical degree in engineering, physics, or chemistry.? Lab experience is essential.? Experience with trace metals preparation and familiarity with ICP, AA, and titrations are beneficial.? Comfortable working with chemicals, including inorganic acids.? Eager to learn.? Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills.? Ability to multitask and a desire to work on several projects at once.? Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment. ? Basic computer skills and familiarity of Microsoft Office software expertise, including Word, Excel and Outlook.? Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
