Performance Materials Division (PMD) is currently part of the Materials Technologies segment of Air Products, a leading global industrial gases company. Air Products has signed a definitive agreement to sell PMD to Evonik Industries AG, a world leader in specialty chemicals and materials. The sale of PMD is expected to close before the end of 2016, and is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. The position is part of a Specialty Additives Americas organization responsible for identifying critical customer and market needs and developing commercially viable solutions to meet them. One key responsibility of the position is to provide customers, distributors and sales people in the Americas region with technical advice and product recommendations, often based on laboratory evaluations conducted by the chemist him or herself. Moreover, the candidate will be responsible for initiating and executing new product development projects designed to meet the needs of Americas or Global Coatings, Inks, or Adhesives markets. Though the primary responsibility will lie in the Americas region, the candidate will also need to coordinate his or her activities with those of global new product and market focused development teams; exchanging technical ideas and information with colleagues and fostering an atmosphere of collaboration is important to success in this role. Ideally, the individual will be able to rapidly build their own expertise in order to be recognized by customers and colleagues as an expert in a given technology or application area.
Job Responsibilities:
The individual is required to plan and execute detailed technical projects in order to grow the company's position in unique wetting agents, defoamers and dispersants for Coatings, Inks and Adhesives markets.
New product and market focused initiatives play a vital role in the profitability of the business, so the individual needs to ensure that a high level of focus on these products is maintained through both technical support and product promotion.
The individual is also expected to participate in the planning, writing and delivery of technical papers and training seminars to promote new global and regional new product developments to the Americas customer base, regional sales force and distributors.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
