Overview
We are currently seeking a 3rd shift Inspector/Packer for our Allentown facility. The Inspector/Packer reports directly to the Group Leader. The hours for third shift are 11:15pm-7:30am, M-F.

Job
Summary:
The Inspector/Packer is responsible for the proper inspection and packaging of plastic bottles. This position will also be required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
Essential Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Inspect bottles for quality defects.
Assemble, pack, close and stack boxes.
Use gauges, scales and other measuring equipment to verify quality specifications.
Use choppers, spin trimmers and hands to deflash bottles.
Pack boxes according to packout instructions.
Label boxes.
Operate label maker & tape gun.
Perform secondary operations to bottles (apply spouts and caps, etc).
Unjam conveyors, trimmers and leak testers.
Grind bottles.
Dispose of defective bottles correctly.
Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Help others as needed.
Assist during line studies.
Fill out appropriate paperwork thoroughly and correctly.
Keep area clean.
Participate in all safety initiatives.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
Participate in CPS.
Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic mathematical skills are required.
Prior manufacturing experience and/or training are not required, but are desirable.
Prior third shift experience highly desirable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
