Program Support Assistant-Allentown Outpatient Clinic

Duties include but are not limited to:
-Assists with the formulation of service policies and procedures, directives and any other unspecified assignments -Coordinates and maintains files for all providers assuring that all files are current -Responsible for collecting data to support service recommendations concerning space, personnel, equipment, and fiscal matters. -Monitors and reports time and attendance. -Collects, compiles, researches, tracks and reports program data for use in program development, reporting to leadership, and reporting to accrediting bodies. -Coordinates the resolution of problems with Primary Care Provider assignments, schedules and other physician related issues in coordination with other Primary Care administrative staff. -Assists, organizes and coordinates all administrative and clinical functions and operations which require the input or action of the Chief, Primary Care Service. Service operations include the Sayre, Williamsport, Northampton and Tobyhanna, Honesdale, and Berwick Outpatient Clinics in addition to Wilkes-Barre Primary Care and a variety of Medical Center departments and VISN as needed. -Responsible for advising and resolving nonstandard procedural assignments regarding a wide range of administrative-related matters. -Directs activities of the trainee program, plans and carries out projects related to budgeting and contracting to improve the efficiency and productivity of the PCS program. -Will be ADP Coordinator or alternate for the Service. -Coordinates meetings, conference calls and scheduled leave, as well as prepare travel papers and schedule conferences for program staff. -Provides data/reports related to the administrative, clinical, and technical aspects of the programs to the Service Line or other facility leadership needing this data. -Provides assistance of an administrative nature requiring attention as needed and in replying to requests for information received from patients, relatives, friends, veterans' service organization representative, congressional offices and others. -Coordinates all appointments, meetings, and/or conferences for the Associate Chief Primary Care Service by accurately maintaining his/her appointment calendar. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-6 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
using various computer systems in suggesting/developing necessary data bases or spreadsheets to aid in collection, retrieval and analysis of information; preparing reports, documents, and correspondence and maintain various service records; experience and expertise involving internal and external review processes; and dealing with operations, regulations, principles, and peculiarities of assigned programs. Ability to work efficiently, under pressure and organize work plans and priorities to assure timely submission of complete work.
