I know nothing about electronics such as this item. I plugged it in and it turned on. All the lights on the sliders work. There is on knob on one of the sliders that is missing. I did not try to hook it up to other devices There is a fray on the power chord (see photo) but it is not down to bare wire. It seems it is just rough on the outer coating.
