The GTO became a separate Pontiac model in 1966, instead of being an option package on the Tempest LeMans.
The entire GM A body intermediate line was restyled that year, gaining more curvaceous styling with kicked-up rear fender lines for a Coke-bottle look, and a slightly tunneled backlight.
The taillight featured a louvered cover, only seen on the GTO.
With the PHS (Pontiac Historic Services) documentation available (VIN#242076B137166), this Pontiac GTO was originally equipped with a 389/360 hp V8 engine and 3/2 bbl carburetor.
Retaining the 3/2 bbl carburetor configuration, the car is now equipped with a 421 engine (casting#9778791) making the car even more powerful and attractive.
Complementing the very desirable package the car is equipped from new with the 4speed manual transmission (casting # 3885010).
Retaining its original Burgundy color, this authentic muscle car presents in excellent condition, featuring straight body panels, good gaps, and quality paintwork with no bundle or body work all over the car and showing some age and flawless.
