For Sale: 1959 Buick Electra in Allentown, Pennsylvania for sale in Allentown, PA

1 of 37
Vehicle Description Like all of GM's 59 models, Buick's styling was in large part a reaction to the dramatic Chrysler Corporation cars that debuted in 1957.
Stodgy Buick reinvented its image by dropping its existing model names.
Gone, too, were the signature portholes.
LeSabre, Invicta, and Electra now carried the company banner.
The bold new style with delta wing canted rear fins also reflected in the front-end shape proved more than Buick's conservative buyers could handle, but its style caused editors to label Buick as best looking overall of all the 1959 car models.
This 1959 Buick Electra is a stylish personal luxury car and 1 of only 11 examples known in existence by the Buick registry.
Meticulously restored, it presents in a stunning correct Lido Lavender Paint complemented by an immaculate authentic Gray Cordaveen bolster special leather with Wool Broadcloth cloth special interior.
Originally delivered to Palm Springs, California, this Electra is equipped with a powerful 401 cu in, 325 HP Wildcat 445 Naihead engine, and the new Buick Twin Turbine automatic transmission.
The car is equipped with factory air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, power vent windows, power seats, AM radio, seat belts, dual side view mirror, safety buzzer (speed control), and stainless-steel dual exhaust.
Given the cost and complexity of restoring such cars, it is rare to see one presented as pristine as this.
The model is finished in a wonderful Lido Lavender paint in excellent condition, with no flaws to speak of.
The vast body panels are straight with even, precise fit.
Extensive chrome and stainless trim are in excellent order with no dings, dents, or pitting.
The interior is restored to factory correct standards and presents in excellent condition.
To drive this Buick is an extraordinary experience.
The driver is greeted with a magnificent instrument cluster and heavy chrome switches that are a joy to operate.
The laid-back driving position is perfectly suited for cruising and the 401 cubic inch fires easily with no smoke or drama.
The transmission shifts into drive swiftly and rolls off on a wave of smooth torque.
Upshifts are silky smooth and downshifts are immediate.
Engine detailing and underneath are excellent showing the concours level restoration.
This rare and desirable Buick Electra won the best Buick-Post-War to 1969 at the 2019 Radnor Hunt Concours d'Elegance, and it is a wonderful example, beautifully restored to show-winning standards.
We are incredibly pleased to offer this car for sale.
